From humble beginnings, the mission has grown though the grace of God, into an independent, self-supporting church.
A group from the church went to Branson. A few of the pictures taken on the trip are shown below.
Smylie and Hodges Get Top Catches at Lake Mary Fishing Tournament The first "Gospel Jubilee on the Lake" was an overwhelming success. Some fifty-seven contestants participated in the big bass and big crappie competition with each contestant allowed to bring in one big fish. Scott Smylie won the big bass competition with a catch of 4.38 pounds, while James Hodges won the crappie division with a catch of 1.26 pounds. Awards went out to the top six bass catches and top four crappie. Bass winners were Jason Stubbs in second at 2.90 pounds, Jerry Enis in third at 2.86 Vin Smylie fourth with a 2.38, John Gray fifth at 2.36 and Tommy Long of Natchez at 2.36 in sixth. In the crappie division, Tiggy Voret was second at 1.16, Peyton Crawford third at .92 and Henry Jenkins fourth at .58. Brother Richard Coss was with us on Sunday, March 21, 2004. The men treated us to a delicious meal of fried catfish and boiled crawfish. The ladies provided the rest of the dinner which included salads, desserts and drinks. Click on the pictures to enlarge them.
Youth Group Leads Service "FELLOWSHIP" The Fort Adams BC Ladies held a retreat on August 23 at Lake Mary. We were blessed to have Suellen Gunn and Amy Marler as facilitators for the group. This time of praise, worship, and reflection was very spiritually up lifting for those who attended.
Our Youth Group made a couple of trips together. First, they went to Destin, FL. Time was given for devotions and Bible study. Fun and good food were enjoyed by all. The guys all took a fishing trip. Brother Warren and Brother Richard Coss accompanied the group to Caney Lake. (double click on photos to enlarge)
The group "Suwannee River Boys" appeared at Fort Adams BC on Sunday, August 17, at 6:00 for a musical praise and worship service. Brother Robert Toney appeared with the Atlanta based group. Food and fellowship followed their program. This took the place of our July and August last Sunday of the month Bible Study and Potluck Supper.
